Sports Mole previews bottom club Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga match with Freiburg.

Borussia Dortmund's nightmare campaign continued earlier this week as they once again missed the opportunity to climb off the bottom of the Bundesliga table.

Raul Bobadilla scored the only goal of the game on Wednesday night as Augsburg recorded a 1-0 win at Signal Iduna Park to condemn Dortmund to their 11th loss in 19 league games.

Through the toughest of times this season, the fans have rallied behind the team, but it appeared that the stress of watching their side collapse has finally taken its toll on the Dortmund supporters.

Roman Weidenfeller and Mats Hummels attempted to calm the home supporters at the final whistle as jeers were directed at the shocked players left on the pitch following another disappointing display.

Jurgen Klopp, a hero to the club's fans, insisted that his side would not give up in the battle to avoid relegation, which now seems to be a realistic possibility as their dismal form continues.

Dortmund head into the weekend on 16 points, but they could leapfrog a number of rivals, including Freiburg, with a victory over their fellow strugglers.

Due to the number of sides struggling in the bottom half of the table, an upturn in form would see Dortmund climb a few places quickly, but Klopp knows that stopping the rot is easier said than done after claiming just four wins so far this season.

Freiburg manager Christian Streich perhaps didn't expect for his side to be two points ahead of Dortmund at this stage of the campaign, but he will be fully aware that his club are in just as much as trouble as their opponents.

Despite returning to action with a shock 4-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, the pressure is back on Streich's shoulders following the loss to Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek.

However, a promising display in a losing cause could persuade Streich to name an unchanged side as Nils Petersen prepares to lead the Freiburg attack once again.

Klopp is likely to make changes once again as he searches for a reaction to another defeat, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Neven Subotic and Adrian Ramos all pushing for a starting spot.

However, the hosts will be without Kevin Grosskreutz after it was revealed that he would miss up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
