Borussia Dortmund twice surrendered the lead as they were held to a point by Eintracht Frankfurt in an entertaining 3-3 draw tonight.

The Bundesliga champions moved two goals clear as Lukasz Piszczek's 24th-minute shot ricocheted off two Frankfurt defenders on its way into the net, before Marco Reus added a second with a fizzing low strike.

Frankfurt came flying out of the blocks in the second period, levelling the scores courtesy of their own quickfire double.

Stefan Aigner found the bottom corner from Takashi Inui's pass and the Japanese midfielder added his name to the scoresheet with a header just 90 seconds later.

Dortmund responded to regain the lead through highly-rated midfielder Mario Gotze, who capitalised on a defensive error to slot home.

However, Anderson equalised for the hosts with 20 minutes remaining, deftly converting Bastian Oczipka's inviting cross to send Dortmund home frustrated. body check tags ::
