Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has said that he and his teammates want Robert Lewandowksi to stay at the club.
The Polish striker has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga champions, with Manchester United and Bayern Munich reportedly in the frame for his signature.
However, Weidenfeller admitted that everyone concerned with the club want the forward to stay at Westfalenstadion.
"The best place for Lewandowski is here in Dortmund and we hope to keep him," The Sun quotes him as saying. "He grew to become a big player here and he belongs to this team. Lewandowski is not only technical, he's also very quick and has a feeling for goals, so whenever there's a chance he senses it. Every club would be happy to have a player like him." Jurgen Klopp's side look certain to relinquish their title this season after falling 20 points behind leaders Bayern in the Bundesliga.
