Borussia Dortmund have announced that midfielder Nuri Sahin will miss just two weeks of football after picking up an injury during his side's resounding win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
Sahin made his first league appearance of the season following a long-term injury on Saturday, but lasted only 36 minutes before being taken out of the contest which Dortmund went on to win 4-1 at Signal Iduna Park.
The Turkish international might have been fearing another long injury layoff, but the club have since announced that the 28-year-old will soon return to action again.
"Luck in misfortune for Nuri Sahin. Our number eight has to only take a two-week break due to a knee injury," read a post from Dortmund's official Twitter page.
Thomas Tuchel's side currently occupy fifth spot in the Bundesliga standings after 13 games played.
