Nurnberg have registered a thrilling 3-2 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach away from home in the Bundesliga.
The visitors were the first to make the breakthrough in the 17th minute, when Timm Klose headed home Hiroshi Kiyotake's delivery.
Eight minutes later Nurnberg doubled their advantage when Timmy Simons found the target with a close-range header, Kiyotake once again with the assist.
Monchengladbach halved the deficit on the stroke of half-time when released by Patrick Herrmann inside the area. Luuk de Jong slotted the ball home from just yards out.
The hosts restored parity in the 53rd minute through Granit Xhaka, as it became 2-2 at Borussia Park.
However, Nurnberg scored their third goal of the afternoon two minutes later, this time Kiyotake latching on to Hanno Balitsch's pass to find the target.
Both sides had chances to add to their tallies during the remainder of the half but failed, and it eventually ended 3-2 in favour of the visitors.
