Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Bournemouth and newly-promoted Rotherham United at the Goldsands Stadium.

After a brilliant start to the season, Bournemouth go into Saturday's match at home to Rotherham United without a win in three league games.

The Cherries led the way at the top of the table in the very early stages of the campaign, but back-to-back defeats to Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers, followed by a draw away to Norwich City, have seen them slip down to 11th.

None of those results is exactly embarrassing for Eddie Howe's side, but they would have wanted to claim more than one point from a possible nine having made such a positive start to the campaign.

Even so, Howe will be fairly pleased with the opening five games on the whole, and he will see Saturday's match as a real chance to get back to winning ways.

The playoff hopefuls secured Andrew Surman on a permanent deal on transfer deadline day, and the former Norwich midfielder is likely to start for his new club this weekend.

Yann Kermorgant should also return to the starting lineup alongside Callum Wilson, who has now scored four goals in five games since his summer move from Coventry.

Rotherham, meanwhile, have been hit and miss in their first five games back in the second tier of English football, but a return of six points will partially satisfy Steve Evans.

Victories over in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers and Millwall could well be seen as bonuses for the newly-promoted side, while defeats to Derby County and Watford would have been almost expected.

However, a loss at home to Brentford in their last outing will worry the Millers, as it is those games that they will need to get points from if they are to stay in the division this season.

Goals are an issue for the visitors, who have scored just twice inside the 90 minutes in their seven outings in all competitions in the current campaign.

The deadline-day loan signing of Norwich striker Luciano Becchio should appease that problem somewhat, and the Argentine could be thrust straight into the starting lineup this weekend.

Elsewhere, Evans could keep much of the same side that was beaten by Rotherham last time out, with no new injury worries or suspensions.
