Brentford are chasing their third home win in a row and a place back in the Championship's playoffs when they host Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening.
The Bees have scored seven goals and conceded just one in their last two wins at Griffin Park, but did suffer defeat in their last outing away at Birmingham City on Saturday.
Birmingham came out on top 1-0 for their first win in nine games as seventh-placed Brentford missed out on the chance to move above both Bournemouth and Ipswich Town in the top six.
The race for the playoffs and automatic promotion appears to be wide open and Brentford have arguably the best run-in of the top eight as they face just two of their promotion rivals in the final 12 games.
Those games, however, are both away at the sides with the current two best home records in the division - Derby County and Ipswich.
Jake Bidwell will hope to return to the starting lineup at left-back after only making the bench at Birmingham, while Harlee Dean could replace James Tarkowski in the centre of defence after the latter scored an own goal to condemn the Bees to defeat at St Andrew's.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, also enter the match following defeat at the weekend, with Chris Powell's return to Charlton Athletic a day to forget.
The Terriers slumped to a 3-0 loss at The Valley to drop back into the bottom half and make it just one win in five games.
Still, Powell's side are a healthy 11 points clear of the bottom three and have a relatively kind final two months of the season ahead.
Nahki Wells (shoulder) could return for the trip to West London, but Joel Lynch remains sidelined with a groin injury.
Huddersfield are unbeaten in five games against the Bees, claiming victory in four and ending Brentford's five-game winning streak when they recorded a 2-1 victory in the December reverse.
