Bristol City are holding West Ham United to a goalless first half in their FA Cup fourth-round clash at Ashton Gate.
West Ham had Mark Noble to thank for keeping it at 0-0 when he headed Matt Smith's effort off the line after six minutes.
Joe Bryan went close when he broke into the box before firing an effort across the face of the goal as the home side created the better openings inside the first 20 minutes.
Smith was unfortunate again when his header was nodded off the line by Andy Carrol on 24 minutes.
Bristol goalkeeper Frank Fielding did well to punch away Carroll's header with Noble lurking, but it was the home side who created the best chances in the opening 45 minutes.
Carroll forced a save out of Fielding when he poked an effort goalwards from Carl Jenkinson's cross, but the Robins keeper was relatively untroubled by the strike.
