Aden Flint has insisted that Bristol City will give their all against Blackburn Rovers in order to put last weekend's disappointing defeat behind them.
The Robins failed to push on from a home draw against promotion favourites Hull City when falling to a 3-0 reverse to Rotherham United last time out.
It only adds to what has ultimately been a frustrating campaign for City since their promotion from League One, but Flint is adamant that his side can string together an unbeaten run over the coming games.
Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "We've been working hard in training to try and put right everything we did wrong at Rotherham, and hopefully that we help us secure a good result tomorrow in front of our home fans. It's been a difficult start for us but then we began to find out feet.
"The result at Rotherham saw us take a few steps back. It may have been different if we'd had a midweek game, but it's felt like a long week leading up to this game with Blackburn. It's how you respond in this league.
"We went on an unbeaten run after the Fulham game, so we need a similar reply now. You're always learning, of course. I'm enjoying the challenge this league presents, it's just a shame we haven't been getting the results we've perhaps deserved."
City are currently one point above the drop zone ahead of their home meeting with Blackburn on Saturday.
