Former England number one David James has insisted that he has no intention of retiring.
Recent reports have claimed that the 41-year-old was considering hanging up his gloves following his release from Bristol City yesterday afternoon.
Despite admitting that he is planning to take his coaching badges, the goalkeeper has revealed that he is not quite ready to call time on his playing career.
"I'm still looking to play next season. I've had a few little niggles, but I still feel great," said James.
"In the meantime I've been doing my B-level coaching badges, hopefully I will be able to complete my UEFA Pro-Licence, eventually with a view to moving into management."
James made 80 appearances for the Robins over two season.
