Bristol City have crushed Barnsley by a 5-3 scoreline at Ashton Gate this afternoon.
The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute through Jon Stead, who tapped in after Marvin Elliott headed Paul Anderson's corner back across goal.
Tom Heaton then made a save to keep his side in front as Stephen Crainey's header from six yards out looked destined for the net.
The Robins doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Liam Fontaine prodded home at the back post from Brendan Moloney's cross.
That was enough to ensure that the hosts went into the break leading 2-0, but it got better six minutes after the restart.
Steve Davies's free kick dropped to Stead, whose shot was deflected past Luke Steele for his second of the afternoon.
Sean O'Driscoll was then in dreamland when Lewin Nyatanga reacted quickest following a goalmouth scramble to nod past Steele to make it 4-0.
Ryan Tunnicliffe bundled in a consolation goal in the 57th minute, but a Steve Davies strike put to bed any hopes of a comeback.
Tomasz Cwyka and Jason Scotland pulled further goals back before the end, but it was a miserable afternoon for Keith Hill's men.
