Championship side Bristol City have reportedly had a bid of £6m accepted by Crystal Palace for striker Dwight Gayle.
Last week Palace boss Alan Pardew said that the striker could leave Selhurst Park, but only for the right price.
He had been linked with a host of clubs this summer in both the Premier League and Championship, but, according to Sky Sports News, Bristol have taken the lead in the race for his signature.
Gayle, 24, joined Palace from Peterborough United on a four-year deal in 2013, scoring 18 goals in 54 appearances since.
