Sam Vokes has bemoaned Burnley's wasted chances in Thursday night's Europa League elimination at the hands of Olympiacos.
Needing to overturn a 3-1 deficit from last week's playoff first leg in Piraeus, the Clarets had multiple attempts to break the deadlock during the return game at Turf Moor.
However, Burnley simply could not break through the Olympiacos defence, with Vokes especially guilty of missing some gilt-edged opportunities.
The Clarets were then punished when Daniel Podence fired into the roof of the net after a counter-attack and, even though Matej Vydra poked home an equaliser, it proved too little too late.
"We created things all night and should have taken our chances - myself included," Vokes told BT Sport at full time.
"I thought we played in the right manner and attacked them all night. But we couldn't get over the line.
"It's one of those. Some days they go in and some days they don't. We've had three tough rounds - the other two went to extra time.
"It's been testing but it's important we get back on the training ground and focus on the Premier League."
Burnley return to Premier League action this Sunday with a home game against Manchester United.
