Burnley have taken a one-goal lead into half-time of their fixture against newly-relegated Bolton Wanderers.
The hosts started strongly, getting their first chance after just two minutes, but Chris McCann could only fire his shot over the bar.
Martin Paterson was the next to come close for Burnley, but his attempted lob over Adam Bogdan landed on top of the net. Bolton's first chance of the half came through Lee Chung-Yong as the visitors broke away, but the South Korean couldn't convert from 12 yards.
The deadlock was broken with five minutes of normal time left in the half when Junior Stanislas and Dean Marney both had shots blocked before Charlie Austin set up Peterson for a close-range header, sending the Clarets into the break 1-0 up.
