Burnley are currently leading Nottingham Forest 3-0 in today's Championship clash at Turf Moor.
The Clarets threatened from the start, and within the first few minutes, Jamaal Lascelles was forced to clear a ball off the line after Scott Arfield's shot went under the body of Karl Darlow.
Just before the 15-minute mark, Arfield broke the deadlock for the home side. He collected a pass from David Jones, beat his marker and rifled a shot underneath Darlow. This time, there was no reprieve for the Reds.
It got worse for Forest in the first half, as the Clarets doubled their lead in the 25th minute. Kieran Trippier displayed some strong skills on the wing before lashing in a pinpoint cross into the box, which Sam Vokes duly converted with a close-range header.
With 10 minutes to go before the break, Vokes notched another goal to put his side 3-0 up, after a Michael Duff effort was ruled out for offside just a few minutes beforehand.
