Michael Keane's header has given Burnley a 1-0 lead at half time against visitors Brentford.
Burnley, with record signing Andre Gray watching from the stands as his new side took on his old club, struggled to get into the game early on, and Alan Judge forced Tom Heaton into a smart save with a curling free-kick early on.
However it would be the home side who took the lead as defender Michael Keane headed in David Jones's corner at the back post.
The goal clearly settled Sean Dyche's men, who started to see more of the ball and put the Bees defenders under much more pressure.
Midfielder Scott Arfield had a chance to double the Clarets' lead, but his drive from the edge of the area flew well over.
