Burnley attacker George Boyd has insisted that he should have been awarded a penalty during his side's 2-0 loss away at Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
With the score locked at 0-0, Boyd went down inside the area following a challenge from Saints defender Jose Fonte.
Referee Roger East waved away the appeals, but Boyd is adamant that he was fouled.
"I've checked him and I've got a chance of shooting. He's stamped on my foot, so it's disappointing," the 29-year-old told reporters.
The defeat means that the struggling Clarets have still won only one away match all season.
