Supporters of Burnley have voted in favour of Owen Coyle returning to the club for a second stint as manager.
The 46-year-old left Turf Moor in 2010 for rivals Bolton Wanderers in what proved to be controversial circumstances.
Having spent just under two years in charge at the Reebok Stadium, Coyle was sacked by the club's board last week.
However, despite many of the Burnley faithful having been vocal against Coyle rejoining the Clarets, a poll carried out by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph has shown that 50% of voters would be happy to see the Scot return.
Former Burnley right-back Graham Alexander picked up 16.6% of the vote, with Mick McCarthy rounding off the top three with 8.3%.
Burnley have been looking for a manager since Eddie Howe decided on a return to Bournemouth.
