Tony Pulis has claimed that Burnley manager Sean Dyche deserves to win the Manager of the Year award for this season.
The Crystal Palace boss is among the favourites for the accolade after guiding the Eagles to Premier League safety since joining the club in November.
However, Pulis believes that the award should go to Dyche, who has taken Burnley to the brink of promotion from the Championship this term.
"He has done a absolutely fantastic job. We tend to go with people who win the league with the bigger clubs. But they have the resources and greater opportunities to success on the pitch," the Lancashire Telegraph quotes Pulis as saying.
"I love people who overachieved and I think that Sean has really overachieved at Burnley.
"If you look at the clubs in the Championship who have bigger resources than Sean has, bigger budgets and better this and better that, then what he has achieved has been fantastic."
Burnley will secure automatic promotion to the Premier League if they beat Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
