Sean Dyche believes that Burnley are well placed to secure promotion to the Premier League next season after their relegation was confirmed on Saturday.
The Clarets beat Hull City 1-0 at the KC Stadium, but results elsewhere condemned them to the Championship next season.
However, Dyche feels that the club are in a good position to return to the top tier at the first time of asking.
He told BBC Sport: "I believe we're in decent shape to bounce straight back. There will be definite growth in the players. I can imagine we will be competitive in the Championship next season.
"I've been proud of the players home and away, we have always tried to attack and played on the front foot. But of course relegation is disappointing."
Dyche's side host Stoke City next week in their penultimate game of the season.
