Jason Shackell has challenged his Burnley teammates to continue the positive defensive form that they showed last time out against Hull City during upcoming encounters.
The Clarets went into the clash against Hull having conceded 15 goals in their previous five outings, but they kept the visitors at bay at Turf Moor and ended up recording a 1-0 win - their first of the season.
Looking ahead to future encounters, Shackell has spoken of the importance of keeping more clean sheets.
"We were really happy with the clean sheet against Hull," the captain told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"We'd conceded quite a few goals in the last few games and it's been quite frustrating, so it's something that we definitely wanted to get back to. It was nice to get as clean sheet, we've had four or five this season so hopefully we can get a couple more."
Next up for Burnley is a trip to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
