Burnley and Crystal Palace play out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.

Burney and Crystal Palace shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, in which both goals came from penalties and a red card was shown.

Burnley were given an immediate chance when Jonathan Parr nudged over Martin Paterson in the box to give the home side a penalty inside the first minute.

Jay Rodriguez stepped up to fire the spot kick home with a low drive to the left of Julian Speroni.

Burnley continued to press and, on 14 minutes, Ings played a one-two with Rodriguez before seeing his shot well saved by Speroni.

On 30 minutes, Trippier had an effort after intercepting the ball, though his shot from 25 yards went just past the post.

Lee Grant then made an acrobatic save at his near post to keep out a firm header from Glenn Murray on 37 minutes to keep the score at 1-0. Grant was called upon again just before half time to tip Patrick McCarthy's header around the post.

Both sides went in at half time with Burnley managing to keep hold of their one-goal advantage.

Paterson threatened again for Burnley after spinning in the box on 57 minutes, though the forward couldn't find the target with his shot.

After beginning to find their feet in the second half, Palace were awarded a penalty on 63 minutes after Trippier brought down Wilfried Zaha in the box, following a mazy run from the winger. Darren Ambrose made no mistake and brought the away side level.

Minutes later, Speroni turned Trippier's free kick over to keep the score level.

Palace's chances of claiming the win were dealt a severe blow in the 71st minute when Zaha was shown the red card for violent conduct after kicking David Edgar's heels in an off-the-ball incident.

The away side managed to dig in and earn themselves a point at the end of the game.
