Burnley failed to register their first win of the season after a 1-1 home draw against Cardiff.
The hosts took the lead on two minutes when Charlie Austin headed in his third goal in four games.
Robert Earnshaw levelled for the Welsh side five minutes before the break, scoring his 200th club career goal.
Burnley visit Derby County next Saturday, while Cardiff face an away trip to Portsmouth.
