The Scot has overcome a knee injury, while defensive duo Michael Duff and Ben Mee have also shaken off knocks to start.
Visiting Hull are without midfielder Corry Evans because of a thigh strain, but Paul McShane has been passed fit despite having recently suffered a hamstring problem.
