Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that he expects veteran defender Michael Duff to play his part for the Clarets in the Championship next season.
Dyche's men lasted just one season in the Premier League after promotion from the Championship, but he is willing to offer 37-year-old Duff a new contract.
If terms are agreed, it will be Duff's 12th season as a Burnley player.
"We'll be speaking to Michael over the summer and he has made it clear he wants to continue playing," Dyche told PA.
"We spoke about where we felt he was at and he has done terrifically well this season. He'll be an ongoing part of what we do should something be agreed."
Duff has started 21 of Burnley's 37 Premier League games so far this season.
His teammate Steven Reid, meanwhile, will make his last professional appearance on the final day of the season against Aston Villa tomorrow after announcing his retirement.
