George Taft scored his first senior goal to help Burton Albion defeat League Two leaders Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.
After a fairly contested first 45 minutes, it was the Brewers that took advantage in the first quarter-of-an-hour of the second half.
The goal came from an out-swinging Matthew Palmer corner, which the centre-half leaped off the floor to volley in with his left foot.
Shrewsbury had the majority of possession and chances but couldn't get past a solid Burton defence.
The win puts Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side above Shrewsbury in second but a point behind Wycombe Wanderers, after they beat Hartlepool United 1-0.
