Cardiff City and Fulham head into half time level following a goalless first half in their opening match of the Championship season at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The hosts could have opened the scoring just a couple of minutes after kickoff when Peter Whittingham picked out Anthony Pilkington with a low cross, before he flicked it on for Joe Mason, but the striker found his finish blocked.
Fulham's first chance of the afternoon came just over 20 minutes in when Ross McCormack won a corner, which fell to Matt Smith in the box, but he could only head his finish over.
Andy Lonergan had to remain alert in the Fulham goal as the hosts started to dominate possession, but Joe Ralls's run at the goal was blocked before the keeper stopped a Mason strike.
McCormack came close to opening the scoring just before the interval against his old side following a quick counter-attack, but he rifled the ball inches wide inside the final two minutes of the opening period.
