Former Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd has expressed his belief that ex-Bluebirds teammate Craig Bellamy is the perfect man to manage the club.
Current Cardiff boss Russell Slade has come under fire from the club's supporters this season for some under-par performances, and it is thought that he could leave this summer.
Bothroyd, who played alongside Bellamy at Coventry City and Cardiff, believes that the 35-year-old Welshman would be a good fit.
"The manager's job at Cardiff would be a great first job for him," Bothroyd told BBC Sport.
"He's worked with great managers and trained with great clubs over the years. I'm sure he's taken a lot of things on board."
Bellamy has been taking his coaching badges with the Welsh FA after ending his playing career at Cardiff last year.
