Cardiff City will reportedly hold a board meeting on Monday following the controversy over head of recruitment Iain Moody.
Reports have claimed that manager Malky Mackay has been left reeling at owner Vincent Tan's decision to put Moody on gardening leave and replace him with 23-year-old Kazakhstani Alisher Apsalyamov.
It is understood that members of the board will meet next week, with Mackay giving up hope of keeping Moody, who is said to be his right-hand man, at the club, according to BBC Sport.
Apsalyamov is believed to be a friend of Tan's son and has no experience working within football.
