Cardiff City captain Mark Hudson has claimed that the appointment of new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an exciting move for the club.
The Norwegian was confirmed as Malky Mackay's successor on Thursday afternoon.
Hudson, who has featured just twice for the Bluebirds this season, hopes that he can force his way into Solskjaer's plans.
"It's fresh eyes looking on the team and hopefully for myself, I'll look to impress and get myself into the team," Hudson told BBC Sport.
"He knows a lot about the game and it's really exciting times. He wants to play entertaining football, which I'm looking forward to being a part of.
"I know what I can add to the team but it's down to me to show the manager."
Solskjaer's first match in charge is against Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Saturday.
