Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay has admitted that it would be "special" for the club go up to the Premier League style by sealing the Championship title.
The Bluebirds secured promotion to the top flight with a 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic on Tuesday and a point against Burnley later today, will see them clinch the title.
"The first aim was to get promoted and it is fantastic we got over that hurdle. Next we are desperate to win the league and put the icing on the cake," Mackay told Wales Online
"We've had a chat and the focus is firmly on getting the title. To win the title after being promoted would be something very special."
Cardiff's last season in the top flight was over 50 years ago in the 1961-62 campaign.
