Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct following his sending-off during the 2-2 draw against Reading on Monday.
The incident happened in the 78th minute of the Championship game at the Madejski Stadium, which saw the Bluebirds fight back from two goals down to earn a draw thanks to two late strikes.
The 69-year-old was angered by referee Steve Martin's decision to send him to the stands, describing it as a "travesty", and also hit out at fourth official Andy Woolmer.
"Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct following his sending-off during the game against Reading on Monday December 11, 2017," an FA statement read. "He has until 6pm on Friday, December 15 to respond."
An 83rd-minute goal from Joe Bennett and a stoppage-time equaliser from substitute Lee Tomlin earned Cardiff a point which kept them within four points of Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
