Russell Slade will reportedly travel with the Cardiff City squad tonight for their Championship clash against Blackpool.
The 53-year-old is widely expected to be named as the Welsh outfit's new manager following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this month.
After leaving his post as Leyton Orient boss on September 24, Slade has been helping Cardiff in a consultancy role.
According to BBC Wales Sport, Slade is due to be among the travelling party flying to the North-West of England this morning for the match at Bloomfield Road.
Should Slade not be officially appointed today, Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon are expected to remain in caretaker charge for this evening's encounter.
