Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan gave the players a pre-match talk ahead of their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Bluebirds manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the Malaysian businessman tried to inspire the players with "encouraging words" at the team hotel.
"He came over last night with encouraging words for players and ourselves," The Mirror quotes him as saying.
"He is committed and he supports us. It was the first time since I've been here, I think it was a good time and you can see the effect on players, I am pleased to see him, we all appreciated him.
"This run-in requires every single one of us that has got a Bluebird heart, a Cardiff heart, everyone from fans, to players, workers in the canteen, laundry, up to Mr Tan, of course we've got to stick together. "
Cardiff suffered a 1-0 defeat at White Hart Lane to remain second from bottom in the league table.
