Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker has admitted that he is eager to secure a place in England's squad if they qualify for next year's World Cup.
England are currently competing with Montenegro and Ukraine for a place in the tournament in Brazil, and after completing an £8m move to Cardiff from Tottenham Hotspur, Caulker has revealed that he is working towards earning a place in the squad.
The 21-year-old told reporters: "If you ask any English player, they have got one eye on the World Cup.
"First and foremost, I am going to have to work hard on and off the pitch to earn that sort of achievement, but it is something that I am definitely working towards."
Caulker has made one appearance for England, scoring on his debut in Sweden last November.
