Relegation-threatened Catania have taken a shock 2-1 lead into the break of their Serie A match against Roma.
Both teams struggled to create any chances early on, but Catania came close midway through the first half when Pablo Barrientos saw his effort from the edge of the box saved by Morgan De Sanctis.
Moments later they opened the scoring through Mariano Izco, who latched onto Sebastian Leto's back-heel before slotting an effort into the corner.
Catania doubled their lead in the 34th minute when Izco was picked out at the back post by Gonzalo Bergessio and smashed a volley past De Sanctis.
Roma pulled a goal back three minutes later through Francesco Totti, who was found by Alessandro Florenzi's headed pass before firing a composed strike past Alberto Frison.
If Catania manage to hold on and win the match, then Juventus will be crowned champions for a third-successive season.
