Catania have defeated Chievo 2-1 at home to climb up to sixth in the Serie A table.
The home side were the more dominant in the first half, with Francesco Lodi and Alejandro Gomez getting very good chances.
Six minutes into the second half Sergio Almiron broke the deadlock when he shot home Francesco Lodi's corner.
Pablo Alvarez came close to giving Catania the lead just minutes later, but he could only fire his shot over the Chievo crossbar.
Souleymane Doukara then headed Lodi's delivery just inches wide and then failed to control Gomez's pass in a good position.
Almiron doubled his side's advantage five minutes from the full-time interval when he cut inside and curled a shot past Stefano Sorrentino between the Chievo posts.
That sparked the Flying Donkeys into life, as Sergio Pellissier hit the post in the 90th minute with a left-footed effort. Then in the third minute of injury time Marco Andreolli headed home Cyril Thereau's free kick, but it was too little, too late for Chievo.
