Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has expressed his desire to sign a new contract at the club, despite speculation linking him with a return to Cardiff City.
Reports surfaced earlier today suggesting that Cardiff were lining up a £3m bid for the 26-year-old, but Ledley has played down talks of a return to Wales.
The Wales international is now entering the final year of his contract at Celtic and is hopeful that discussions over extending his stay will begin sooner rather than later.
"We still haven't actually spoken to the club at the moment. My agent has been away and the club has been pretty busy as well with sorting out new players," he told reporters.
"Hopefully I will be next and sort something out. In the next couple of weeks, if we could sort something out, it would be brilliant.
"At the moment I'm just concentrating on qualifying for Europe and doing brilliantly for the club and playing well."
Ledley has scored 25 goals in 127 appearances for the Bhoys since joining in 2010.
