AC Milan are on course to return to the top half of the Serie A table after taking a 1-0 half-time lead over Cesena this afternoon.
Andrea Poli headed the ball into the back of the net for the Rossoneri in the second minute after Riccardo Montolivo's shot had been saved, but he was wrongly adjudged to have been standing in an offside position and the goal was ruled out.
They did manage to take the lead in the 22nd minute as Giacomo Bonaventura crashed in a 20-yard strike that left the keeper with no chance.
On the stroke of half time, Giuseppe De Feudis almost equalised for Cesena, but his powerful effort was saved by Christian Abbiati as Milan kept hold of their lead going into the break.
