Chelsea have extended their Stamford Bridge invite to Souleymane S, the black commuter who was repeatedly pushed off a Paris Metro train by a group of Chelsea's supporters three weeks ago.
The Blues invited Souleymane S to this evening's Champions League last-16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain in London, but he declined the offer, telling RTL radio: "They can't buy me with a little piece of paper. I'm not a child."
Chelsea have now said that they hope he will visit in the future, leaving their offer as an open invite.
PA quotes a club spokesperson as saying: "We appreciate he doesn't want to come to this particular game, however, our offer remains open and we hope he'll take us up on it so he can meet real Chelsea fans and experience the true spirit of the club."
Five Chelsea fans thought to be involved in the abuse to Souleymane S are expected to receive football banning orders from the police.
