Cesc Fabregas has claimed that tonight's 4-0 Champions League win over Maccabi Tel Aviv will prove a watershed moment in Chelsea's season.
Goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and the Spanish midfielder were enough as the Blues put their torrid domestic form to one side by thumping their visitors at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League champions sit 17th in the table after their first five games, having lost three of them, but Fabregas warns that tonight's rout will do them the world of good ahead of hosting Arsenal on Saturday.
"When you're Chelsea and you don't win, people start getting nervous and the players feel it," Fabregas, who joined the West Londoners last summer, told BT Sport.
"We're a big club and like all big clubs we need good results and performances. Hopefully it's the start of a big run."
Jose Mourinho's side already sit 11 points behind top-of-the-table Manchester City, who have won all five of their league outings.
