Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has conceded that his team were not at full throttle in this evening's final Champions League group-stage match against Steaua Bucuresti.
Demba Ba scored the only goal of the game as the Blues ensured that they topped Group E after six games, which should mean a kinder draw in the last 16.
"Normally we have to score more goals and win comfortably and give more emotions for the supporters, but we had the game always under control," the Portuguese coach told Sky Sports News.
"We had the chances and the dominance and pressed very well, but the second goal did not arrive and the opponents is then always alive.
"Every time we played short and fast finding Eden [Hazard], Willian and Oscar, we had creation speed and intensity, but we did not have enough patience and went back to things from the old days sometimes."
