Head coach Thomas Tuchel has acknowledged that he will rotate his Chelsea squad for Wednesday's Champions League fixture against Zenit St Petersburg.
Despite sitting at the top of their group, the European champions still require three points in Russia to ensure that they finish ahead of Juventus.
Nevertheless, with his players in the middle of an intense schedule and with Leeds United to come on Saturday afternoon, Tuchel has admitted that he will hand minutes to his fringe players.
Speaking to reporters at his pre-match press conference, Tuchel said: "The decisions are not made yet because we just had training, but we have had a bit of an acute overload, partly due to our injuries.
"Long story, short message. There is a huge chance that we rest some players and maybe more importantly, we give some players the load and who need minutes and rhythm. The decisions will be made tomorrow."
Kepa Arrizabalaga, Malang Sarr, Saul Niguez and Ross Barkley are expected to be among the players who will feature on Wednesday.
