Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has handed a recall to defender Kalidou Koulibaly for Wednesday's Champions League fixture against AC Milan.
At Tuesday's press conference, Potter had to field a question on the centre-back's situation at Stamford Bridge after the summer arrival failed to feature in his opening two fixtures as Blues boss.
However, the former Napoli man returns to the side to face familiar foes in AC Milan, the Senegal international lining up on the left-hand side of a back three.
The switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation sees Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek selected in central midfield, meaning that there is no recall for Conor Gallagher after his winning strike against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Mason Mount has retained his place in the side, leaving Kai Havertz to accept a place on the substitutes' bench with Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also getting the nod in the final third.
Despite Edouard Mendy's return from a knee injury, second-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is named between the sticks for the fourth game in succession.
Meanwhile, Potter has opted against taking any risks on N'Golo Kante's hamstring, even though the Frenchman has been back in training for the past week.
