The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.
The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Monday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea, Edouard Mendy talks "reach a crucial stage"
Chelsea have reportedly reached "a crucial stage" in talks over a deal for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
The 28-year-old has seemingly emerged as the club's leading target between the sticks as they look for a new number one due to Kepa Arrizabalaga's struggles.
The Senegal international is allegedly available for £30m during this summer's transfer window and could be on the move before the deadline passes at the start of October.
According to journalist Kevin Palmer, talks over a move to Stamford Bridge have reached "a crucial stage", and the stopper could now be on his way to Stamford Bridge.
Palmer also claimed on Twitter that Frank Lampard's side are considering other goalkeeping options, however.
Mendy, who has a contract with Rennes until June 2023, has kept 36 clean sheets in his 85 outings for his current club in all competitions.
Mason Mount 'unhappy at Chelsea signing Kai Havertz'
Mason Mount has allegedly been left frustrated with Chelsea'a acquisition of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
Earlier this week, the Blues confirmed the arrival of the Germany international, who has penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
With Hakim Ziyech having also joined Chelsea, the presence of the 21-year-old will naturally increase competition for places in Frank Lampard's squad.
According to Bild, Mount is unhappy with two players being brought into the squad who will rival him for his role in the side.
The academy graduate enjoyed a strong first campaign in the Chelsea first team, contributing eight goals and six assists from his 53 appearances in all competitions.
However, should Lampard opt to hand an immediate debut to Havertz in Chelsea's Premier League opener against Brighton & Hove Albion in eight days' time, the Englishman could find himself out of the first XI.
