Head coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested that Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Andreas Christensen will all miss Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final tie at Middlesbrough.
Chelsea conclude a punishing four-game schedule with a trip to the Riverside Stadium, the game coming less than 72 hours since their Champions League win against Lille in France.
Christensen joined James and Hudson-Odoi in the treatment room after sustaining an injury during that fixture, and Tuchel has hinted that the game in the North East may come too soon for the trio.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "We have Reece, Callum and Andreas uncertain. They are in training, but not yet in full training.
"Let's see. There are still some checks to do. It can be a very tight race and maybe it is a bit too close."
Despite the prospect of missing a fourth match in succession with a hamstring injury, James has been selected in the England squad for two international friendlies.
