David Luiz demands Sergio Aguero apology

Chelsea defender David Luiz wants an apology from Sergio Aguero for his late tackle during this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has insisted that he deserves an apology from Sergio Aguero for his late two-footed tackle in this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final.

Aguero received no punishment despite leaving the ground and making contact with the Brazilian during Manchester City's 2-1 win over the Blues.

After referee Chris Foy admitted that he did not see the challenge, Luiz has called on the City striker to own up and make amends for a bad tackle late on in the match.

He told The Mirror: "I would apologise to everyone. Aguero is a great player and I think he needs to be honest with himself and say: 'I don't like to do bad tackles, I don't like to do that.'

"I forgive everyone in my life, people are happy when Aguero is scoring goals, doing things in the game. Many people have said to me: 'sorry this is not me and not good for the football.' Many kids see the game, watch the game and want to see good things and not bad things."

City withstood a late Chelsea onslaught to book their place in next month's final against Wigan Athletic, courtesy of goals from Aguero and Samir Nasri.
