Samir Nasri has revealed that Manchester City's 2-0 FA Cup fifth-round victory over Chelsea on Saturday was driven by a desire to exact "revenge" on the Blues for a recent league defeat.
The win came 12 days after Manuel Pellegrini's men had gone down 1-0 to the London side at Eastlands in the Premier League.
"Everybody wanted to get revenge after the league game," he told BT Sport. "We didn't play like we usually do at home but today we did everything right.
"The most important thing is the win and the revenge from what happened in the league. We have gone further in the FA Cup and it is good for everyone."
The Citizens will discover who they face in the last-eight stage later on Sunday.
