Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton.
Sports Mole

Chelsea will seek an immediate response to their Champions League defeat to Juventus when they welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge for Saturday's Premier League battle.

Thomas Tuchel's side went down 1-0 to the Old Lady in Turin in midweek, with Federico Chiesa netting the only goal of the encounter 11 seconds into the second half.

The Blues suffered defeat by the same scoreline to champions Manchester City in their most recent Premier League clash and will be desperate to avoid a third successive defeat this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Christian Pulisic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 2 (vs. Southampton)

Christian Pulisic has been unavailable since picking up an ankle injury during the most recent international break, and the USA international remains a major doubt for this contest.

Reece James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Reece James was forced off with a twisted ankle in last weekend's defeat to Manchester City, and Tuchel has already ruled the right-back out of this contest.

Mason Mount

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 2 (vs. Southampton)

Mason Mount did not recover from a knock in time to face Juventus, but it is hoped that he will shake off the issue in time for Saturday.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Tuchel confirmed that N'Golo Kante had tested positive for coronavirus before the defeat to Juventus, and the World Cup winner will not be available against the Saints.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this match.
