Rafael Benitez has insisted that he "will do well" as interim manager of Chelsea, despite today's 3-2 loss to Newcastle United making it four games without a win for his side.
Moussa Sissoko netted a 90th-minute winner for the hosts to seal all three points in the Premier League, making it just one win in seven for Chelsea in all competitions.
However, despite this poor run of form, Benitez claims that his side are doing a good job and he remains confident of finishing in the top three.
"We are doing a good job in terms of what you can see on the pitch. The team is doing well," said Benitez.
"The team has a very good team spirit and that is really positive, and I am confident that we will finish in the top three. I will do well.
"What I know, what I can see is the team doing well, working hard and when we have this advantage, we have to manage in a better way."
Chelsea now sit six points behind Manchester City and just four points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table, both of whom have a game in hand over the Blues.
